you already patch yourself: caffeine to lock in, melatonin to wind down, vitamin d bc you live indoors under artificial light. hormones, ssris, creatine, tattoos, all of it config changes to the substrate. everyone runs a stack, they just don't call it that.
an implant is no different. a few grams of glass under the skin and part of my keyring is now load-bearing tissue. can't lose it, can't leave it in the other jacket.
mind over matter. the hardware you were issued is the hardware you maintain: tune it, add peripherals when the workload calls for it. wetware accepts patches.
